The story…..
Born in Cheltenham and raised in Bedfordshire, Colin's love for art began early. A natural talent and a passion for creativity led him to study 3D Design at university and he went on to build a successful career as a Design Engineer. The inspiration…..
Colin’s lifelong passion for big cats shines through in his distinctive artwork. His personal encounters, watching and photographing majestic animals in their natural habitats, infuse every one of his artworks with authenticity and emotion. Each creation tells a story through the eyes of a tiger, lion, or leopard, inviting viewers to interpret and engage with the unfolding narrative. His life experiences, are frequently used as additional inspiration, often evident in the expression or emotion the cats evoke in his artwork.
The creative process……
Colin creates his artworks in his art studio, located in a peaceful Buckinghamshire village. All pieces are crafted on aluminium, blending spray paint and airbrush techniques with an array of tools to achieve dynamic and sometimes abstract textures and effects. His expressive use of bold, vibrant colours brings an unmistakable energy to his semi-abstract style, making his artworks truly one-of-a-kind.
The reward……
Colin's innovative techniques, showcased many times over the years during his live solo exhibitions and demonstrations, have captivated audiences worldwide. His art has found homes in collections across the globe, earning him a reputation as a celebrated contemporary wildlife artist.
